Research area

  • Chemical Oceanography
  • My research field of interest is set on ventilation processes in the ocean which can be explored by transient tracers, such as CFC-12 and SF¬6. These tracers provide information about ventilation pattern, timescales and, in case of tracer time series, changes in ventilation. Furthermore, the transient tracers allow for calculations of anthropogenic carbon column inventories, i.e. the stored amount of human made CO2 in the world ocean - a key factor of the climate change.
