The Competition

More and more sceintists are pointing out that climate change will cause changes and damage to the marine environment and the coasts, which may have enormous consequences for humans. Not only the great oceans are affected but also the seas at our doorstep (North and Baltic Seas) as well as the coasts, the islands and the entire water cycle. In 2011/2012 the special prize aims at motivating young people to grapple with the varied environmental problems in the field of marine science and to demonstrate the connection between changes in the climate changes in the oceans. We want to give young people the possibility to contribute with small steps to solutions to environmental problems in the field of marine science.
