Earth Institute Postdoc Fellowships

The Earth Institute at Columbia University offers a Fellows Program for postdocs interested in joining multidisciplinary teams of outstanding, committed scientists from a diverse group of Earth Institute research units and departments across the university.

The fellowship includes a $12,000 research allowance for the two year appointment, and carries an annual salary of about $55,000.

Candidates should submit a proposal for research based in a core discipline or in a thematic area represented by the Cross-Cutting Initiatives of the Earth Institute. The proposal should indicate how the research will contribute to the goal of global sustainable development.

Applications submitted by October will be considered for fellowships starting in the summer or fall of the following year. Fellowship decisions will be made in the spring. For more information and application forms see the Earth Institute website:

Lamont-Doherty Postdoctoral Fellowship

Columbia's Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory invites applications for postdoctoral fellowships in the earth, environmental and ocean sciences. Candidates should have recently completed their Ph.D.

The fellowship lasts 24 months and includes a $60,000 annual salary and a $5,000 research allowance. Successful candidates are encouraged to apply for external funding and may be eligible for further internal awards and positions.
