The Future Ocean – Phase I (2006-2011)
More than 250 Kiel scientists have joined forces in the cluster "The Future Ocean" with the aim of investigating ocean change and re-evaluating both its risks and potentials. These experts represent diverse fields of specialization and are working in existing research groups, which have been supplemented by thirteen junior research groups. They are looking at past, present and future changes in the oceans in even more depth, investigating marine resources and developing concepts for their sustainable use.
