YOUMARES 2.0 is the second international Young Marine Research network meeting and conference event, organized by the German Marine Society (DGM) and DGM's student group. It addresses young researchers and all levels of under-graduate and graduate students from the field of marine research. Abstract deadline is July 1st 2011.

2nd Young Scientist Excellence Cluster Conference on Marine and Climate Research: Perspectives from Natural and Social Sciences, 4.-5. October, Bremen
This conference aims to bring together early career scientists to present and discuss their own research in an interested and multidisciplinary environment. Also, it provides the opportunity to uncover links between widely ranging topics, thereby fostering the interdisciplinary nature of the research carried out by the early career scientists of the three clusters.

Oceans of Change Early Career Scientists Conference (ECSC),
April 24-27 2012, Majorca Island, Spain
ECSC will broadly address the interactions among the physics, chemistry, and biology of the world’s oceans in the context of a dynamic system. Particular emphasis will be placed on the role of human activities on ocean processes, the future of ecological and economic ocean services, and management implications. Contributions should address one of the sessions displayed on the conference website: P/ICES Conference for Early Career Marine Scientists

IMAP Retreat, October 14-15th 2011, Guesthouse Samain
On Friday and Saturday the 14/15th October 2011 the Interdisciplinary Marine Post-Doc Network (IMAP) of the Future Ocean Cluster will have its first retreat in the Guesthouse Samain. Topics will be: present and future status of IMAP including funding and administration, presentation of projects.
